Job: Project Manager at digitalswitzerland

Digitalswitzerland is a Swiss-wide, cross-sector initiative that aims to strengthen and anchor Switzerland as a leading digital research and innovation location. The umbrella organization, comprising both an association and a foundation, includes more than 220 members and partners from renowned companies, SMEs and startups, cities and cantons, decision-makers from politics and administration, technical colleges and universities, associations and NGOs.

For the Lausanne office, starting from March 2021, digitalswitzerland is looking for a:

Project Manager 80-100%

Tasks

Event management :

  • Leading the Digital Day project in the Romandie
  • Project status reports
  • Lead and ensure implementation of Digital Day sub-projects
  • Support project controlling, time-, quality and budget management
  • Support to the Digital Day Director (important meetings, etc.)
  • Lead the organisation of other events organised in the Romandie, such as the Digital Competitiveness Summit

Members / partners management :

  • Operational support for members / partners based in the Romandie
  • Acquisition of new members / partners
  • Contact person in the Romandie for all request of our Digital Day Partners
  • Initiate partner communication before, during and after Digital Day
  • Manage and help implementing Digital Day partners’ projects
  • Identify synergies and connect partners accordingly
  • Ensure information flow between all stakeholders

Project management :

  • Ensure smooth follow up and delivery
  • Track progress and deliver on KPIs
  • Support on diverse projects in the Romandie: Digital Day, Leap, Inspirational Session
  • Write documents and presentations in required languages, ad hoc translations of documents
  • Management of CRM: emails, invitations, landing pages
  • Liaise with internal digitalswitzerland teams to integrate activities
  • Carry out relevant tasks as required

Your profile

  • At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience in managing projects
  • Entrepreneurial mind: agile, strong can-do attitude, dares to experiment with new ideas and change course if necessary, strong in implementation and efficient
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • You understand the digital and innovation environment in Switzerland
  • You are fluent in French and English, preferably German as well
  • Independent working style and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and from different types of organisations (private sector, NGO, public administrations etc.)
  • Motivated to work in a small team, a dynamic and agile environment, open to adapt and learn on the job on a daily basis
  • Technical ability to work with new tools (slack, hubspot, project management tools)
